I find this type as the most common. I have encountered a lot of people who has the same traits as described in the article. Interestingly, most leaders that have this trait do not even notice themselves that they are indulging into narcissism. Their level of perspective is beyond what their colleagues can see. I agree with the silver lining as they have the confidence when pitching new ideas. Ironically, they usually give good impressions but sometimes they go over the line wherein they are more biased only in their ideas and finding others’ opinion as senseless. They get distracted with their enthusiasm forgetting to be a team player.
People that have this character are good in forming alliances thus can be utilized into politics. Getting a job or a promotion is easy for them as they are found to be charming and that leads to making a good first impression. In my experience, I have met and worked with some people that display assertiveness. I find it productive when working with these talented individuals but I’m not sure maybe this could be a cause of a growing political fallout in the future.
